Early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can make a big difference in a child’s development. At Expower Learning, we encourage parents to watch for early signs so they can seek support sooner.

Here are five common signs to look for:

1. Delayed Speech or No Babbling – If your child isn’t speaking or babbling by expected milestones, it may be worth checking with a specialist.

2. Limited Eye Contact – Consistently avoiding eye contact or not responding to their name can be a sign.

3. Repetitive Behaviors – Hand-flapping, rocking, or repeating certain movements may indicate sensory or behavioral differences.

4. Difficulty with Social Interaction – Struggling to engage in play, share toys, or connect with others could be a red flag.

5. Intense Focus on Routines – Getting upset with small changes in routine may suggest a need for extra support.

If you notice several of these signs, it doesn’t always mean your child has autism — but early evaluation is recommended.

At Expower Learning, we provide individualized ABA therapy for children ages 2–21. Early intervention can improve communication, behavior, and overall quality of life. The sooner you begin, the more opportunities your child has to thrive.
